Kevin Young Bio Image

Kevin M. Young MBA, EA, CFP® is founder and Principal Financial Planner at Young Wealth Management. Prior to establishing the firm Kevin worked in various leadership positions within the biotechnology industry. Kevin is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) professional, an Enrolled Agent (EA) and a State Registered Investment Advisor (RIA). He received his Masters, Business Administration degree, with an emphasis in Financial Planning, from California Lutheran University. Kevin co-authored the 2010 PassKey EA Review Complete: Individuals, Businesses and Representation: IRS Enrolled Agent Exam Study Guide. Since 2006 Kevin has served as an Advisory Board Member for Horseshoe Management, Inc. Kevin enjoys road biking, skiing, taking after dinner walks with his wife Rosalia, and watching baseball games with his two college-aged sons, Matthew and Michael.

Jean Yamamoto Bio Image

Jean Yamamoto, MBA, MSW, joined Young Wealth Management in 2019. Jean worked in municipal finance at UBS Financial Services and nonprofit finance at the Nonprofit Finance Fund. Jean is a State-Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) and a CTEC registered tax preparer. She currently serves as Board President of the Davis Korean School and she volunteers for the Yolo Community Foundation's Yolo Youth Scholarship Award Committee. She holds a BA in English Literature from Swarthmore College, an MSW from the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from Columbia Business School. When she is not working, you can find Jean studying for her CFP exam, shuttling her three sons to their many, many after school activities and, on occasion, if she gets really lucky and has spare time, playing tennis.

Eric Stein Bio Image

Eric Stein, CFA is a Partner at East Bay Investment Solutions and a Consultant to Young Wealth Management. Prior to joining East Bay, Eric worked for a variety of firms, both large and small. This includes 7+ years with Goldman Sachs Asset Management where he held roles in areas such as performance measurement, client service, risk analysis, and portfolio construction. During his tenure there, Eric had the opportunity to cover many different types of asset classes, vehicles, and client types. Eric also worked at RSM U.S. Wealth Management for 10+ years, serving as the Chief Investment Officer while providing strategic leadership and solutions for their national investment platform. Eric is a proud graduate of Indiana University where he earned a B.S. in Finance. Eric also earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 2001 and continues to stay involved in the local CFA society. Eric has been quoted several times in the Wall Street Journal and has written extensively on topics covering asset allocation, manager due diligence, financial markets, and economic events. Eric enjoys traveling with his wife, Laura, and their two sons, Scott and Jack. In his spare time, Eric is an avid cyclist and includes finishing a Half-Ironman as one of his greatest athletic accomplishments.
